im guessing that you all know that nitendo made more profit on the game cube than ms and sony made on there consoles?, i have a xbox and a game cube, and will be geting a wii, and maby a xbox 360, when there modded and cheep. this way i get to play great games like Zelda and screw MS as they make a loss on every console sold. i rarly use my modded xbox to play games ( other than a bit of burn out) but it does make a great front end for playing all my films/tv series ect using XBMC ( google it) and as i am not bying games for it, the basterds MS cant make money out of me. the advert was a paroidy of apples adverts, and the companys have simmiler goals when there designing there products. products that work, and will work years later. you could by almost any game for the game cube and know it would be good, rather than choose from the 1000'ends of Sh*ty games for the PS2 or xbox, i have no doubt that this will not change for the next gen of consoles. with the xbox and plastation's its just a number war, and the numbers mean nothing, as both consoles are largy ineficcent and PC based, do none of you remember the press about the consoles before the last gen realese?, how the game cube was severly underpowerd and wasent going to be able to keep up with the "big ladys"?. you only have to look at games like resident evil 4 on the GC to realise that graphicaly it is up there with the Xbox, and the GC only has 24 meg of shared memory. but nintendo raped every last bit of power and efficency they could get out of it, where as the PS2 and xbox still had PC crap runing in the background such as plug and play. why they hell does a console need plug and play, it barly works on PeeCee's, why should a dedicated games console need that?, allthough it is very usfull for the modding comunity. as before Nintendo will keep up with the "fat chicks" there console willl be cheeper, there will be less games avalible, but almost all of them will be good. i have recently got in to PC games such as BF2 ( funnily enough on my MAC pro quad 3ghz xeon using boot camp) and the game looks awsome on full everything but the convenence of a dedicated game console made by a company who only makes games consoles ( so know what there doing) will always be more conveinent than any other gaming system. if you were going to by a high end hi fi, which company would you chose, a jack of all trades company (master of none) that try to make loads of diferent products? or a high end company that just makes speakers, or amplifiers, or cd players. i know which is better ( i am a audio technition), and certan companys like MS should burn in hell, when people become wise enough to spot quality from badly designed poor quality crap ( this applyes to everything) monopolising companys that are only around because of numbers and good advertising will disapear, adn the world will be a better, more efficent place. sorry, i just personaly beleve stuff should last more than 2 years, for all sorts of resons including enviromental conserns. ive seen countless fu*ked ps2's and my xbox has had its fair share of repares. by nintendo stuff, and apple, god these companys should merge.

All i got to say is gimmick and it'll prolly not be as much of a revolution as u think once u buy it. The fact of the matter is. Wii is going to sell more than PS3 it has already been set in motion. It's also obvious because the select titles that PS3 had are no more. Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy (The maker left not the title but it all counts the same). So what really is there to look forward to on the PS3? As for the Wii they have a multitude of titles to advance on. Brawl, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, and for the kiddies Mario Party. So ya I am a Wii fan but the facts are obvious. PS3 fans don't let your deluded sense of faith to your system hide the facts.

I like the playstation classics like final fantasy and devil may cry, but the Wii has what looks like better gameplay. I'm not sure if i want to give up the classics for that though.

Get both a 360 and a Wii. You'll have a lot more fun than with just a PS3. Most games these days are X-platform anyway, and Sony lost most of their exclusives, so there isn't much reason to buy a PS3.

The PS3 vs Wii battle will hopefully end the same way as the PSP vs DS battle, with Nintendo leaving Sony in the dust crying how it hasn't got any good games for their portable piece of crap and Blu-Ray will become as popular as UMD's (or Sony's Betamax for that matter)

If you havent already noticed.. the WII has sold more consoles in the US and Internationally then the PS3. I have a Wii and it is incredible, it isn't even fully capable yet. Blue ray... ok.. how redundant can we get? Oh!!! A pixel is a liiiitle bit sharper in color! Oh have you heard 1/5 PS3's are broken out of the box - CNN. Tilt sensor? What a last minute, half assed, poor excuse to copy the Wii. Everyone has always copied Nintendo. They have always led the way. Rumble pack was nintendo... copied. Analog stick, nintendo...copied, and now this? In all fairness I have played the PS3 and the graphics are incredible. But Nintendo has made it known that they arent goig for graphics. Remember the classics? Excitebike? Mike Tysons Punchout? Mario 3? Those had side scrolling graphics and they are still among peoples most favorite games. Graphics arent everything. After having a Wii I have come to realize how stupid it is to sit there and push buttons. The Wii has something that all future consoles will develop one way or another. If you want a new system get the Wii for its affordability, its simplicity, its fun, its value and because the alterntives are just not in the Revolution.

The WII is a great console and in such a short space of time has become a great all round gadget. However what it is in reality is a new gadget. Like most things toys have a shelf life and even with the controllers, vibration and sound effects in the controller I believe it will soon become tiresome when you've hacked and slashed jumped and hopped etc. Games are all about playability and longevity. Yet there is only one real game on the WII that rules and that is Zelda. It does not reinvent the mini games that alot of the other games do. If the game itself is not good enough why not develop it to be enough. The PS3 has a few good games right now but nothing that really stands out and grabs your attention. The first thing I noted about the PS3 is the solid build of the machine. The ability to rip music (wish I had a bigger hard disk than 60gb now) and immediately play online for free. I have not experienced any online games with the WII. In fact the first one to come out apparently is Pokeman. Why oh why didn't they make WII sports with online multiplay. Sure there are differences between the two but each has potential in its own right. It is now down to the developers to show us who the real champion is. Sony and Nintendo good job from the both of you. Sony next time however make blue ray an add on then you may have just ruled the console world.
